Since 1970, Dan Chin Auto Service and Carlson’s Garage have been providing excellent auto repair on all types of cars, both foreign and domestic, as well as mini vans.

Edoko is a Japanese Buffet and Sushi Bar that was voted Honorable Mention in the Daily Cal’s Best of Berkeley.

Awarded Best Pizza by the East Bay Express and the SF Weekly, this fun and casual restaurant encompasses everything you could possibly dream of in a pizzeria. Along with traditional pizzas, Extreme also offers award winning specialty pizzas made fresh for every order.

Located on famed Telegraph Ave and only one block from campus, Fat Slice offers a huge slice of fresh, hot and delicious pizza for two dollars and some change- a great bang for the buck!

Five Star Video, with convenient locations in Berkeley and Albany, is the place to go to find all those hard-to-get films you’ve always wanted to see. Winner of the East Bay Express “Best of the East Bay”, they stock over 19,000 DVD titles and specialize in foreign, classics, documentaries and independent films.

Grub-n-Go operates under the motto, “Gourmet nice without the gourmet price!” This quaint sandwich shop, located next door to Walgreens’ in downtown Berkeley, close to Cal and only a couple of blocks from Berkeley High School and Berkeley City College, features an array of gourmet sandwiches, fresh salads, baked potatoes, party platters, snacks, drinks and desserts.

Only one block from campus in the Blue Sky Hotel is House of Curries, an authentic Indian restaurant offering both Pakistani & Indian Cuisine.

At Kips, the full bar serves a dazzling assortment of beer including 15 in bottles and 24 on tap, hosts all the major sporting events on their 15 TV’s including a plasma big screen, and packs ‘em in for karaoke nights Wed & Sun and for live DJs Tu, Th-Su. They have Happy Hour daily from 5pm-9pm with drink specials. The food––mainly pizza, sandwiches, salads and burgers grilled anyway which way you like, offers something for everyone.

La Burrita has been voted the best burrito in town- like a million years in a row. In addition, they make delicious enchiladas, tacos, salsa and nachos.

La Note lives up to its reputation as one of the East Bay’s best and most popular restaurants. The decor is very nice, including a beautiful garden patio that is usually open during the day. However, the biggest reason that for over 10 years this restaurant has been packing them in, is the food.

Berkeley’s oldest pizza parlor is now among Berkeley’s very best. Their hand-tossed crust is fantastic. If you believe that a quality pizza begins and ends with the crust, or if you consider yourself a pizza connoisseur then should go to LaVal’s on the northside of campus & give them a try.


For three generations, Lee’s Florist & Nursery has been providing the Berkeley area with the finest in service. West Coast Pizza has some of Berkeley’s most popular pizza.
