The original location of Brazil Cafe, located 1 block from the UC Berkeley Campus, is a cute little hut/stand that features a variety of sandwiches, smoothies, breads and pastries. The lively atmosphere with Brazilian music and Pedro Robin, the East Bay’s friendliest owner/host, making your dining experience that much better. Brazil Cafe’s food is so good that they were recognized by National Geographic’s Traveler magazine as one of the best small town gems in America. They were also visited by the Food Network as a great summer food destination. Their signature sandwich, the Tri-Tip, has been rated as the best in town by many happy, satisfied diners and was voted “Best Tri-Tip Sandwich” by the East Bay Express. They’re more well-known because serve some of the best smoothies in town (especially the mango smoothie). Each smoothie uses nothing but fresh fruit and juices. Their newest location is a mobile trailer painted green with Pedro’s smiling face on it- that’s parked right on campus, located at the intersection of Telegraph and Bancroft! Each location offers the same great food, drinks and smoothies that the original offers, the only difference being the address.

Best Dish:  Grilled Tri-Tip Sandwich served with caramelized onions, lettuce, tomato, and cilantro garlic sauce served on a French roll.  (good by itself or with the works: cheese, jalapenos, olives and pineapple)
