Café Colucci

For those who don’t know, Ethiopian food is considered by many to be the most flavorful of all the cuisines with its delicate herbs and spices, which is why there is no shortage of Ethiopian restaurants in the East Bay. Café Colucci is the best of them all. The meat dishes like Doro Alicha (chicken w/ginger and garlic in a delicious sauce) a refresher and have more vibrant flavors than the others in the area. Their Eggplant Tibs is cooked to perfection and gives you a choice of a mild tumeric sauce or a spicy Berbere sauce (either one is delicious). Most importantly, the Teff Injera, the bread-like staple which is used to pick up the other foods is better here than elsewhere. Outdoor seating available.

Best Dish: Veggie combo

Open Daily: 8am-10pm.
