Grub-n-Go operates under the motto, “Gourmet nice without the gourmet price!” This quaint sandwich shop, located next door to Walgreens’ in downtown Berkeley, close to Cal and only a couple of blocks from Berkeley High School and Berkeley City College, features an array of gourmet sandwiches, fresh salads, baked potatoes, party platters, snacks, drinks and desserts. The sandwiches are made on a variety of fresh breads with an array of toppings. The toasted Chicken Tarragon with fresh chicken breast, melted mozzarella, basil, tomato and mayo is one of their best, as is the Turkey Cranberry made with hand-carved turkey. They have a multitude of toppings for the baked potatoes including several vegetarian. They cater any event, meeting or party of any size and the catering menu has plenty of options including fresh salads, deli sandwiches and hot entreés like Lasagna (Meat or Vegetarian) and Chicken Cordon Bleu. Grub-n-Go is owned and operated by the same family that brings you Brewed Awakening, and like Brewed Awakening, they strive to serve each customer quickly, all while maintaining a quality product. Tables and outdoor seating is available.
