Berkeley’s oldest pizza parlor is now among Berkeley’s very best. Their hand-tossed crust is fantastic. If you believe that a quality pizza begins and ends with the crust, or if you consider yourself a pizza connoisseur then should go to LaVal’s on the northside of campus & give them a try. Fresh, made-to-order pastas, salads, sandwiches and beer accompany their traditional pizza combos. They have a clean and nice interior that includes a pool table, TV’s, pinball and video games. It creates a great atmosphere and a fun place to hang out. They can accommodate groups up to 100 people. LaVal’s is also home to the subterranean theater with plays Thu-Sat done by the Impact Theater Group. So go by, grab some food and beer and check out some live theater.
