With seating for 200 people, Pepe’s Pizza, Pasta & Buffet is a spacious addition to the Berkeley dining scene that brings something not usually seen near the Cal campus: an all-you-can-eat-buffet! What started as just a pizza and salad buffet has evolved into a full-fledged buffet and restaurant that now includes an array of pastas and sauces, a taco bar, fajitas, homemade soups and more, but they still have the pizzas and fresh salad fixins that started it all. Nothing is pre-packaged, everything is made fresh daily- from the hand-rolled dough to the homemade soups, sauces and fajitas.  The extensive take-out menu has specialty pizzas, wings, salads, pastas including lasagna, penne with shrimp and vodka, spaghetti and clam sauce, and you can even get the buffet to-go.

Are you hungry, but don’t want to miss your favorite sporting event on tv? – no problem, Pepe’s has an array of flat-screens with sports all the time including the NFL & NCAA TV packages as well as all the Giants & A’s games (not that anybody watches the A’s these days- seriously does anybody attend their games when the Yankees, Bosux and Giants aren’t playing in Oakland?). It makes a great alternative for families that want to go out to eat and watch the game, but don’t want to expose their kids to the drunken buffoonery that sometimes happens at a sports bar- plus the menu is very kids friendly.
