In a rematch of Super Bowl XLII where the Giants shocked the previously-undefeated Patriots 17-14, the teams meet again in Indianapolis for this season’s title. The Giants started the season slowly, but are now on fire having won 5 in a row including playoff wins at Green Bay and over the 49ers here at Candlestick. The Patriots had a much easier road to the Super Bowl, having only to play 2 playoff games (both at home), but nonetheless made it to Indy thanks to a missed 32yd field goal at the end of the game that would’ve sent it to overtime. These 2 played earlier in the season with the Giants coming out on top with a 24-20 win at New England, but history rarely means anything come playoff time. The Giants lost to both the Packers and 49ers in the regular season, but defeated both on the road in the playoffs. Brady and Belichick are both still among the greatest of all-time so your guess is as good as mine.

My guess: Giants win 28-24.
